Downtown Utility Improvements Project

The general scope of work includes installin.9 approximately 2,500 linear feet of 8-inch and 4,200 linear feet of 12-inch PVC C900 waterline, along with the removal and replacement of 140 linear feet of 6-inch PVC with 8-inch and 110 linear feet with 12-inch PVC C900, as well as 370 linear feet of 8-inch and 2,270 linear feet of 12-inch ductile iron waterline. The project also includes constructing connections to existing waterlines, installing temporary bypass water lines, reconnecting water services, installing air release valve, and fire hydrant assemblies. Sewer improvements include upsizing approximately 2,070 linear feet of sewer mains through pipe bursting, installing 920 linear feet and removing and replacing 6-inch sewer with 8-inch PVC SDR 26 sewer mains using open-cut methods, and the installation of new sewer manholes. Additionally, the project includes connections to existing sewer mains, installation of temporary sewer bypasses, reconnection of sewer laterals, traffic signal loop replacements, pavement and striping reconstruction are also part of the project, along with all other ancillary work as specified in the Project Plans and Special Provisions.
